During the current session, the group will decide on the next session’s schedule and choose a time and date that is convenient for all participants. Alternatives such as in-person classes in Irvine, CA, or in-house classes at your office or Facility are also available as options, but their feasibility will depend on the number of enrollees.

Course Contents:
Our TÜV RHEINLAND FS Engineer or FS Technician Training courses are specifically designed to equip participants with the latest techniques, and knowledge that are essential to their work. The course will be delivered by an experienced and highly qualified trainer who will provide practical insights and real-world examples to reinforce the learning.
Our organization offers a fully online course and online exam led by an experienced instructor. The course includes practical examples from various industries such as hydrogen, petrochemicals, and refineries,… This would give participants the opportunity to learn about real-world applications of the material covered in the course.
This course is in the field of SIS, Process Sector, HAZOP, LOPA, Event Tree, Fault Tree, SIL Calculation,…, IEC61511, and overview of IEC61508 and includes practical examples and instructor projects’ technical experiences.
Terms & Conditions:
Cancellation
SCAIPRO reserves the right to cancel a class or change the class schedule at any time and for any reason. Classes may be subject to a minimum attendance requirement, and a confirmation email will be sent to the Customer two weeks prior to the class scheduled start.
Should SCAIPRO cancel or reschedule a class, SCAIPRO will give the Customer the option to receive a full-tuition refund or apply the funds to a future course. There will be no refunds for cancellation by the Customer. Course fees can be used for future credit if used within 12 months of the original course starting date.
Warranty
Classes will be provided by a certified TUV Instructor. The Customer must meet all course prerequisites, attend all classes, and pass the final test to qualify for TUV certification.
SCAIPRO makes no warranty that the Customer will pass the final test and receive a TUV certificate, nor the Customer’s final proficiency regarding the course topic.
Make-Up
At SCAIPRO’s option, the Customer can make up any missed classes or missed exams in a regularly scheduled upcoming course session up to 90 days after the original course scheduled completion. The Customer can re-test to pass the exam for a $500 fee at one of the regularly scheduled test dates. Should the customer fail the second exam, the Course and exam must be taken again.
Limitation of Liability
SCAIPRO is not responsible for costs (e.g., travel, lost business or time, etc.) incurred by Customers associated with the class. SCAIPRO’s total liability is limited to the tuition paid by the Customer, and by paying the tuition, the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
California state laws will govern the application of these Terms and Conditions.

1- What dates are available for the training/testing?

During the current session, the group will decide on the next session’s schedule and choose a time and date that is convenient for all participants. This allows for maximum flexibility and ensures that the class schedule fits the needs of the participants.

2- What materials are provided and in what format – course training materials, copy of IEC standard, etc.?
Course material is in PDF Format. Course contents include IEC61511 and IEC61508 overview, safety life cycle and highlighted clauses, practical project examples, calculations, Handouts, and homework.(FTAs, Event tree, RBD, LOPA, HAZOP Scenario, SIL verifications, SIF Response time calculation…), SIS design practical and technical application notes,… A copy of the standard is not provided.
No need for IEC61511 or IEC61508 standards for the exam. The exam is based on Training material and all subjects discussed in the class which is also based on these standards too and practical project examples. Training Material Plus Table/Formula Sheet(will be provided) can be used during the Exam
3- How is the course structured – number of days, hours per day, etc.?
The class will be approximately a total of 24 hours for the FS Engineer course and 16 hours for the FS Technician Course.
The session duration is about two-three hours and could be adjusted based on the participant’s preferences.
Online class and Exam dates and times are flexible and can be scheduled at students' convenient dates and times.
The average length of the exam is about 3 hours.
4- Does SCAIPRO administer the certificate testing at the end of the training, or does the trained individual need to find an independent testing agency via TÜV Rheinland?
SCAI PRO is an accepted course provider of TÜV Rheinland and the SCAI PRO instructor will administer the exam.
SCAI PRO instructor will proctor and grade the examination.
TÜV Rheinland will issue the certificate and assign a unique ID number and list it on the TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer website ( if the requirements are fulfilled and the exam is passed accordingly)
5- What would be the cost per person for this training/certification? Is there a decrease in price depending on the number of individuals enrolled?
The TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer Training program cost is $2,975/Participant and The TÜV Rheinland FS Technician Training program cost is $2,195/Participant and includes course material (PDF), registration fees, and FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) certificate.
A 5% discount is available if the number of participants is more than 5.
